BIOGRAPHY Vesna Vučinić
b. Bonn, Germany/1972
School education in Munich, Belgrade and Vienna. Architecture studies at the Vienna University of Technology and at the IUAV Venice. Graduated from the Vienna University of Technology in 1999.
Freelance for diverse architects in Vienna from 1993 until 2001: I. Weinmann - loft developments, retail design, residential buildings ('93-'96). S. Stundner - extension of the telecommunications network for Connect Austria ('97). "Architektur & Generalplanung" - office buildings (Business Centre Wieden, Vienna), shopping centres in Central Europe (Citypark Ljubljana, Europark Praha), Shopping Centre Linz competition ('99-'01).
Starting an architecture studio in 2001, titled
a r h i k u l t u r e since 2011.
Assistance and coordination of "MODULOR" - A Platform for Cooperative Architectural Education - forming the basis for a Virtual Campus for the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Vienna University of Technology ('02-'05).
Since 2005 Serbia correspondent for A10, an architecture magazine for and about new European architecture.
Architect licensing examination in Austria in 2007 and
member of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber since 2008.
Independent expert for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award since 2009.
Lecturer in the design course - Studio Architectural Typologies at the Institute for Architecture and Design,
Vienna University of Technology since 2009. Visiting critic at the Department of Architecture, University of Belgrade, in 2009 and 2010.
Starting a r h i t e k t T u r e - guided architecture tours in Belgrade in 2011.
